Camogli so far

The last few days have been a blast. We have gotten to Camogli and are settled in on the mountain top. With a beautiful view of the water and cool stone floors we are sitting pretty :) We have been very lucky to have family and friends in the places we've been so far. Tommy and Alessandra have been wonderful, taking us around to different restaurants and giving us recommendations for things to do during the day. Two nights ago they had us over for dinner were we ate outside overlooking the water. It was a pretty special evening.

If Chloe and I had any concerns about working out while we were away, there is really no need to worry. The hills in Genoa and Camogli are pretty serious. Getting up and down to the beach essentially means you climb down the mountain to the water, and then back up again when it's time to leave. The hills are STEEP!

Food of course has been wonderful. Today we are just lounging around at the house. With no air conditioner you learn to appreciate sitting in the shade. With all the beach and sun we took in yesterday, today looks like a book and nap day at the house. xx

This picture was taken before dinner last night. I didn't take any pictures of food, but it was good. Fresh tortellini and pasta with pesto - and vino of course..

A little out of order but here are our big smiling faces on the bus from Nice to Genoa:

Chloe at the beach. This is a funny story, The first beach we went to had huge rocks and it was practically impossible to get into the water. We went to get lunch, walked down the boardwalk a bit and found the right beaches were the pebbles were tiny and smooth. Chloe's smile shows how happy she was when we found the right spot :)

Before dinner the other night with Tommy and Alessandra. This is where they live!

Here I am at rock beach, pondering whether or not I will attempt to get in the water, without breaking any bones. I succeeded, at both.

Smiles and hugs with old friends!

Here I am in Genoa. The town is pretty cool. When you get down into the city center some of the streets get so narrow you can touch the buildings on either side of you. They aren't really alleys since there are shops along the way on these streets.

This was the monster hill that we climbed each day in Genoa to get to our lovely apartment. It kept us lean and mean.
